Building in Ceramics

Time: 3:00 – 4:00 pm
In this fun, hands on course, students new to the clay media will enjoy learning a variety of traditional ceramic sculpting techniques from carving to modeling and construction
techniques like coil and slab. Students will also learn glazing applications. Projects
including a name plate, candle holder, and bowl, will require each student to explore their own personal creativity. Students with ceramic experience will enjoy being involved
in a studio environment where they can develop and build upon their skills.
Lower School Playmaking

Time: 3:00 – 4:15 pm
Playmaking is one of our most popular workshops offered at ChenEx. In it!s 6th year, the
workshop gives you the chance to create an original play through the use of improvisation and creativity. The original play will be performed for families, teachers and Chenex students. In this class you will participate in all aspects of a production, you will get to design and make your own costume, set and props. You will have a fun and unforgettable experience! OPEN TO 5th and 6th GRADES.
Touch, Taste, and See

Time: 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Touch, Taste, and See is a gooey and colorful look at everyday household products! Each student will use science to experience our individual senses in a fun and exiting way. Activities and projects will include making slime, bouncing polymer balls, making rubber
eggs, zip lock bag ice cream, crystals invisible ink and exploding volcanoes! Don!t miss out on this fun approach to science!
